Rolf Koppel's Still Lifes

November, 2005 - January 15, 2006
Unlike a photojournalist who captures a happening, a still life artist creates a poignant happening out of found objects. Influenced by the Cubist and Surrealist Movements, Koppel’s images are magnificent narratives revealed on film. In the last two years he has had solo exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, Bolognia, Italy and the Fotohof, Salisburg, Austria. His recent books Soliloquy, Will, and Photographs 1976 - 2003 are also available.
