The Theory of the Nude


 

Dimitris Yeros was born in Greece in 1948.

He was one of the first artists to present Performances, Body Art, Video Art and Mail Art in Greece.  In addition to photography, Yeros is a consummate surrealist painter. His photographs and paintings are found in public and private collections and museums throughout the world.

He has had more than 50 solo exhibitions and has participated in two group shows at the Radiant Light Gallery. 

He has published a number of books showcasing his photography. They include The Theory of the Nude (1998),  Periorasis (1999),  For a Definition of the Nude (2000), and  The Exuberant Flowering of Dimitris Yeros (2001) and he will be releasing a new book illustrating E. Cavafy poems with his photographs.
